Service Description

CVDar is an informational tool for estimating US customs duties. It combines HTS tariff data, Section 301 tariffs, and AD/CVD orders into a searchable interface with AI-powered classification. CVDar is operated by CVDar and accessible at cvdar.com.

Not Legal Advice

CVDar does not provide legal, tax, or customs brokerage advice. Our duty calculations are estimates based on publicly available government data. Always verify with a licensed customs broker before filing. The information provided through CVDar should not be used as the sole basis for customs classification decisions.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Tariff data comes from USITC, USTR, and ITA sources. While we strive for accuracy, duty rates change frequently and CVDar makes no guarantees about the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of the data. The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CVDar and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to incorrect duty calculations, misclassification of goods, or any decisions made based on information provided by CVDar.

Intellectual Property

All content on CVDar, including but not limited to the website design, code, logos, branding, documentation, and editorial content (blog articles, guides), is the intellectual property of CVDar and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

Government data (HTS tariff schedules, Section 301 lists, AD/CVD orders) is sourced from public domain materials published by USITC, USTR, and ITA. This data is presented for informational purposes with attribution.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from CVDar's proprietary content without written permission. Linking to CVDar pages is encouraged.

Plans & Billing

  • Free: 50 AI classifications/month, unlimited HTS search, risk alerts
  • Starter ($9/mo): 100 classifications, search history, favorites
  • Pro ($29/mo): 1,000 classifications, data export, priority support
  • Team ($99/mo): Unlimited classifications, API access, team collaboration

Paid plans may be cancelled at any time. No refunds for partial billing periods. Subscription fees are billed in advance.

API Terms of Use (Team Plan)

Team plan subscribers receive access to the CVDar REST API (/api/v1/lookup) subject to the following conditions:

  • Rate limits: API calls are subject to per-key rate limits (default: 100 requests/minute). Exceeding limits will result in temporary throttling.
  • API keys: Keys are for your use only. Do not share or publish API keys. You are responsible for all usage under your keys.
  • Usage scope: API data is for internal business use only. Reselling or redistributing CVDar data via API is prohibited.
  • Availability: We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance.

User-Generated Content

If you submit feedback, bug reports, or other content to CVDar, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content for the purpose of improving our service. You retain ownership of your original content.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from the use of CVDar shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation by contacting hello@cvdar.com. If resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Arbitration shall take place in the United States.

Service Level

CVDar is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee specific uptime percentages, response times, or data freshness for any plan tier. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to maintain service availability and data accuracy.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or a notice on the website. Continued use of CVDar after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
